Who I Am: From North Bergen to Petrichor
If you've ever heard a crowd go quiet for a 070 Shake song and then sing every word, you know the feeling I'm after. Before you pick a design, here's who I am and what the number means.
Where does the name 070 Shake come from?
I'm from North Bergen, New Jersey. The 070 is a New Jersey music collective of artists and producers, named after the state's 070 ZIP codes. The name keeps home in every credit, and you'll find those three digits all over this shop.
How did I break through?
In 2016, I signed to Kanye West's label GOOD Music. Two years later came my guest spot on “Ghost Town”, from Kanye West's 2018 album, and suddenly that voice was everywhere.
What does my music sound like?
It's alternative hip-hop that drifts into pop, ambient and psychedelic music: big feelings, slow builds and hooks that stay with you long after the song ends. It's music for late drives and rainy windows.
